It is built around DRIP Entity Tags (DETs) to\r\nstandardize a hierarchical registry structure and associated\r\nprocesses to facilitate trustable and scalable registration and\r\nlookup of information related to Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS). The\r\nregistry system supports issuance, discovery, and verification of\r\nDETs, enabling secure identification and association of UAS and their\r\noperators. It also defines the interactions between different classes\r\nof registries (root, organizational, and individual) and their\r\nrespective roles in maintaining the integrity of the registration\r\ndata. This architecture enables decentralized, federated operation\r\nwhile supporting privacy, traceability, and regulatory compliance\r\nrequirements in the context of UAS Remote Identification and other\r\nservices.","pub_date":"December 2025","keywords":[],"obsoletes":[],"obsoleted_by":[],"updates":[],"updated_by":[],"see_also":[],"doi":"10.17487\/RFC9886","errata_url":null}
