EPP also\r\nincludes guidance for deletions that is intended to avoid DNS\r\nresolution disruptions and maintain data consistency. However,\r\noperational relationships between objects can make that guidance\r\ndifficult to implement. Some EPP clients have developed operational\r\npractices to delete those objects that have unintended impacts on DNS\r\nresolution and security. This document describes best current\r\npractices and proposes new potential practices to delete domain and\r\nhost objects that reduce the risk of DNS resolution failure and\r\nmaintain client-server data consistency.","pub_date":"September 2025","keywords":["EPP"],"obsoletes":[],"obsoleted_by":[],"updates":[],"updated_by":[],"see_also":["BCP0244"],"doi":"10.17487\/RFC9874","errata_url":null}
